Happy Earth Day! It is so important to know where our clothes come from and which fabrics are the most environmentally friendly. There are so many eco-friendly, stylish brands it’s hard not to find something you love that is also a bff to the environment. In honor of Earth Day I put together an eco-friendly outfit that could inspire all of us to buy pieces that will make our planet a little happier.
When you are shopping for clothes do you make it a point to purchase environmentally friendly pieces?
Have you been invited to a baby shower, but do not know what to wear? Below is a little outfit inspiration for the next baby shower you are attending. I wanted to make it gender neutral and added a little gift for the baby with everything.
When I pulled out my Easter bonnet the other day I started to think about where the Easter bonnet originated. Apparently the Easter bonnet goes back many years and some say it goes farther back than the holiday itself. The first Easter bonnets were circles made out of leaves and flowers and were worn to celebrate the beginning of Spring. Since then women have loved to show off their new Spring clothes and accessories when the new season arrives. The Easter bonnet tradition is still alive today, so what better way to celebrate this weekend with a lovely new Easter bonnet? Scroll down to see eight Easter bonnets and fascinators to wear this weekend.
Whether you’re celebrating or not, Easter Sunday is a perfect excuse to gather with friends and family. On Easter it can be fun to be a little thematic, so when I put these outfits together I thought of three adjectives: floral, feminine and festive. Scroll down to see my outfit inspirations for Easter brunch, an Easter egg hunt and a garden picnic.
It’s hard to believe the first day of Spring is only a couple days away! I love to live where there are four seasons, but I definitely prefer the warm weather over the cold. When I think of Spring colors I think of pastels and light pink has been one of my go to’s the last few weeks, so I put together a little inspiration revolving around the color blush.
What is your favorite color to wear in the Spring?
Unless you want to get pinched you should make sure you wear something green on St. Patrick’s Day. Whether you want to go all out and you want to be decked out in the lucky color or you want something more subtle I found 15 items you can wear on March 17th. I wouldn’t recommend wearing them all at the same time, but to each their own.
I find it very important to dress well while traveling, but still be comfortable. The outfit you wear on the plane is the first thing you will be seen in when you arrive at your destination, so you want to make sure you make a great first impression. My go to’s when traveling during the colder months is a cashmere sweater, skinny jeans, a large scarf and comfortable shoes. Below is a little outfit inspiration for the next time you fly the friendly skies.
Last night I was lucky enough to attend a private screening of Dior and I. I love fashion documentaries and this one is not to be missed. Christian Dior has always been one of my favorite designers and is one of the only designers who has revolutionized the way women dress. Dior and I is a documentary about the world of the Christian Dior fashion house with a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the most recent creative directors, Raf Simons’ first haute couture collection. The documentary was exquisite and showed all of the hard work that goes into creating a haute couture collection. I spoke to many people in and out of the fashion industry after the film and all of them absolutely adored it. Many said they were close to tears at the end because it was so beautiful and they could understand what Raf was feeling when the collection was completed. Dior and I will be in theaters this Spring.
